IPV 2008 Volleyball Camp Information: Location: Walker Complex 4925 South Indiana Ave. Lisle 60532 (Formerly the Telelabs campus) See Directions Beginner Level: Dates: Friday July 11, 18, 25 & August 1, 8 Time:7-9pm Cost: $125 Intermediate Level: Dates: Tuesday/Thursday July 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31 & August 5, 7, Times: 6-8pm Cost: $250 Advanced Level: Dates: Tuesday/Thursday July 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31 Times: 8-10pm Cost: $250 Beginners Level: This introductory 5 two hour sessions will emphasize individual player development for all court skills. A majority of time is spent on the core skill mechanics of court movement, jumping, ball control, serving and basic attack skills. Pilates based conditioning for strength and balance is included. This clinic is geared toward athletes that are somewhat new to volleyball in 3rd-7th grade. Intermediate Level: This level includes 10 two hour sessions with a focus on the core skill mechanics for serving, blocking, passing, setting and attacking. High repetition will be used to establish proper movement mechanics, compound skill application and transition attack techniques. Titcus Pettigrew from Next Level Athletes (SPEED) will work with the participants in half hour sessions each T/Th. Participants should already have an average to good skill foundation.This clinic is geared toward athletes in 7th-8th grade. Advanced Level: This level includes 8 two hour sessions with a focus on developing fast attack principles. From aggressive ball control, passing-digging skills to advanced serving and 1st tempo and combination attack. High repetition movement will be used to establish proper transition mechanics. Titcus Pettigrew from Next Level Athletes (SPEED) will work on speed, agility, and conditioning with the participants in half hour sessions each T/Th. Participants should have multiple years of club experience and want to improve on their already good command of all skills. This clinic is geared toward the high school athlete. *NEW This Summer* Titcus Pettigrew from ![]() (Speed) We will incorporate weight training, plyometrics, explosion, speed, and agility training into our Intermediate and Advanced level programs. It is no longer suggested, rather expected for the top teams to incorporate weight training in their programs. Collegiate coaches request players' physical stats as part of the recruitment process. Stats will be recorded at the beginning and end of the session. |
