Message from SoloSpike:

Volleyball athletes are moving faster, jumping higher and swinging harder than ever before.  Today's volleyball athletes are looking for speed, strength and explosive power.  They are looking for experts who understand the movement of a volleyball player as well as watching out for their longevity in the sport through injury prevention techniques.  SoloSpike is dedicated to creating positive change in every athlete who utilizes our equipment and training.

The SoloSpike staff takes pride in utilizing technology and research to make every volleyball athlete the best volleyball player they can be.  With over 20 years volleyball training experience, 10 years of advanced sports training experience and working with the top professionals in the area of Kinesiology, biomechanics and coaching, SoloSpike and our partners are continually developing athletes bound for success. Developing efficient, injury resistant athletes is crucial and that is why volleyball programs and athletes are turning to SoloSpike Hitters Programs.

SoloSpike - Player Analysis Program

The “Player Analysis Program” is designed to provide each athlete with a complete digital analysis of his or her hitting mechanics.  During a single 1-hour session, an attack performance evaluation will be recorded and reviewed with each athlete.  A complete 12-point attack performance evaluation with video is prepared and burned to DVD for the athlete within a week.

The goal of the Player Analysis Program is to evaluate and educate a volleyball athlete on his or her correct transition, approach, footwork and arm swing biomechanics with a focus on injury prevention. Understanding approach inefficiencies will put players in the optimal position to make positive changes to increase individual hitting percentage.

This program is appropriate for all beginning through advanced players.

Focus:  Player Digital Video Analysis; Review of hitting biomechanics; 12-point Performance Evaluation; Video and evaluation burned to DVD

SoloSpike - Attack Lesson Program

The Attack Lesson Program” is available to players who need to fine tune or spend extra time on their attack skills.  Training is designed around (2) one-hour sessions and is customized to the needs of each player.

The Attack Lesson Program provides participants with the opportunity to specify which skills they want to focus on during two 1-hour sessions.  Limiting focus to 1 or 2 skills will yield better results since an athlete must perform a high level of good repetitions for muscle memory to develop.  A Certified SoloSpike Instructor ensures proper skill development and reinforces proper hitting biomechanics to: enhance performance, reduce chance of injury and create longevity in the sport.

This program is appropriate for all beginning through advanced players.

Focus:  Common biomechanics related to:  Jumping and landing; Transition and approach; Body rotation and ball contact; Injury prevention techniques

** HITTERS CLUB LEVELS MUST BE TAKEN IN ORDER**

Level 1 SoloSpike Hitters Club - Mechanics Program

The “Mechanics Program” is the first level of Hitters Club.  Training is designed around (6) one-hour sessions to identify, educate and to begin developing proper key hitting biomechanics and muscle memory.

The goal of the Mechanics Program is to develop kinetic awareness in each athlete; teaching how it feels to perform core skills correctly.  Muscle memory begins to develop through repetitions performed correctly in a controlled environment from isolated positions.

This program is appropriate for all beginning through advanced players.

Focus:  Increased Power & Explosion; Increased Hitting Efficiency; Develop Proper Arm Swing Biomechanics; Develop Proper Approach Biomechanics; Injury Prevention Techniques

Level 2 SoloSpike Hitters Club - Development Program

The Development Program” is the second level of Hitters Club.  Training is designed around (6) one-hour sessions to take newly acquired hitting mechanics from level 1 and advance muscle memory, vertical and power.

The goal of the Development Program is to progress explosive, powerful and efficient hitting mechanics through repetitions performed correctly in a controlled environment from isolated positions.  Blocking and transition skills are integrated with hitter development.

This program is appropriate for most intermediate through advanced players.

Focus:  Increased vertical & attack height; Development of hitting biomechanics; Game like speed & agility; Increased power & explosion; Injury prevention techniques

Level 3 SoloSpike Hitters Club - Elevation Program

The Elevation Program” is the third level of Hitters Club.  Training is designed around (6) one-hour sessions to refine muscle memory for proper hitting, transition and blocking mechanics.  Each participant will receive a DVD with a complete personal Hitter Analysis.

The goal of the Elevation Program is to refine hitting, blocking and transition biomechanics established during levels 1 & 2.  Game like speed, power, vertical and endurance are also improved through high repetitions performed correctly in a controlled environment from isolated key positions.

This program is appropriate for (some) intermediate through advanced players.

Focus:  Refinement of hitting biomechanics; Increased attack height & vertical; Increase power and explosion; Increased hitting endurance and speed; Injury prevention techniques

Level 4 SoloSpike Hitters Club - Elite Program

** ONLY OFFERED DURING SUMMER SESSIONS**

The Elite Program” is the forth level of Hitters Club. Training is designed around (3) two-hour sessions. Each session includes 1 hour on the SoloSpike and 1 hour on the volleyball court.

For players who want to get a step ahead of the competition, the goal of the Elite Program is to further refine skills developed during Hitters Club by repeating sets of protocols on the volleyball court that were already established on the SoloSpike.  Court work provides more opportunities to develop greater range of movement preceding an attack and passing is included to advance more game-like development.

The Elite Program is best suited for advanced players who have completed Level 2 of Hitters Club.

Focus:  Refinement of hitting biomechanics; Increased transition speed & court movement; Increase power & explosion; Increased hitting endurance & timing; Injury prevention techniques
